Committee Structure

The OUAPS Committee is consisted of the Executive Committee (ExCo), the Events sub-Committee and the Advisory Council. The ExCo is made up of eight executive members and handles the everyday planning, general management, and overall progression of the society. The Events sub-Committee, headed by the Social Secretary, is responsible for the organising of social events and gatherings. Former ExCo members, upon their retirement, may be elected as Ex-Officios and are given seats on the Advisory Council. They will act as senior advisors to the society and will be invited to important ExCo meetings.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE - Trinity Term 2010

 

President
Almat Zhantikin, Somerville College

The President oversees the general progression of the societal works and shall give advice to other Ex-Co members whenever necessary. He/She ensures that all society's affairs are arranged and prepared to the benefits of OUAPS members. He chairs all executive committee meetings.

 

President Elect
Rilly Chen, Somerville College

The President Elect shall assist the President in all matters and act as the deputy of the President. The President Elect is also responsible for overseeing the Events sub-Committee.

 

Treasurer
Yuzhu Liang, Worcester College

The Treasurer shall keep a proper record of the society’s financial transactions and collect money at all events. The Treasurer is required to submit a formal financial budget at the start of term and a financial report at the end off term. The Treasurer is also responsible for Members’ Welfare, such as seeking sponsorships and discounts at local firms.

 

Chief Secretary
Christina Gao, New College

The Chief Secretary is responsible for managing the society's email account and sending emails to subscribers and/or enquirers. The Chief Secretary duties also include external party relations, and will be the main contact body between the society and external parties. General administrative duties also fall within the Chief Secretary's responsibilities.

 

ITl Secretary
Ran Ju, Somerville College

The IT Secretary is in charge of the website. The IT Secretary shall update the Termcard and Committee Structure termly. Furthermore, it is his/her responsiblitiy to make any appropriate changes to the website reflecting current sponsors.

 

External Relation Officer
Hanbit Cho, Balliol College

The External Relation Officer is also head of the Social Events Committee. The External Relation Officer is in charge of all the events hosted by the society and responsible for findind and setting up a suitable venue and publicising the respective event.

 

Speaker Secretary

Juliane Gong, St.John's College

The Speaker Secretary is responsible for the speakers' events.

 

RECRUITMENT
